Those of you who know me will know that plant/insect life is not my favourite or best subject but as I am leading a fairly sheltered life these past few weeks, that's the best I can do!

With blistering temperatures, and the Hoopoe getting me very excited this morning (see below) I spent a rewarding hour with my plants in the garden. I now have a sun burnt head to show for it as well as these photographs. Hope you enjoy!

I am reliably informed that this beetle is Oxythyrea funesta (family Cetoniidae), so there!
