La Heredia, Spain

This "town" is a complete fabrication of an architect. It pretends to be a quaint Spanih town but little of it is older than 15 years. You can almost be forgiven for thinking it is a Disney production of a Spanish whitwashed village.

New blackbirds

Every year we get a crop of new blackbirds being born in the garden. This year this couple have had two chicks hatching. Here are some pics of them making the most of their newly acquired flying skills.

The look that says, that's enough leave me alone now.
After a day of flying lessons from their parents, the chicks are quite comfortable exploring the garden and its surroundings.
